Evangelism

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

~ Matthew 28:19 ~

Santiago Zelaya Aguirre

I was born in 1950; 21 years later, I married my wonderful wife, and we had eight children together. I accepted Christ in 1979 and served as a deacon for ten years. I worked as an evangelist before becoming a pastor at the Church of Belén El Sarsal Darío. Later, I was pastor at the El Shadar San Francisco Church for 14 years.

I am a testament to the transformative power of faith and the unwavering love of God. Despite facing challenges and hardships, I continue spreading the gospel and sharing hope and redemption with others. My years of service in the church have been a blessing and helped me grow personally and spiritually. With the support and motivation of Just One Opportunity, I remain committed to my work for Christ. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

I was born on September 6, 1983, in San Francisco Libre, Nicaragua. I found my passion for the gospel in 1998 and studied Theology at the Bible Institute. Since then, I have dedicated myself to preaching and spreading the word of God, and I was blessed to become a pastor and lead multiple churches. I'm currently a pastor and working to spread the gospel in Nancital, Darius.

I am proud to support the Just One Opportunity program, which brings the light of the gospel to communities that have yet to receive it. Today, I am grateful for my loving family, including my wife and our triplets, and for the opportunity to continue growing the works of the church and saving souls for Christ.

At the age of 40, I welcomed God into my heart and gradually became involved with the Bethel church in the Albellanas community. God then blessed me with an opportunity to become a pastor in 2014, and I began working with a small group of 24 members. By the grace of God and with the support I received from Just One Opportunity, training, and providing valuable tools for the development of the church, I have managed to have 36 active members. My dedication to spreading the gospel has never wavered, no matter what obstacles I faced. I remain steadfast in my teachings of God's love for everyone.

We provide Christian Bible-based training to pastors and elders of the 25 villages we have reached. We work closely with local pastors to understand the spiritual needs of their communities; upon returning to their villages, they share what they learned with their churches and communities. Most pastors we work with do not have a high school education, and some do not know how to read and write. For this reason, training them to have a more substantial Biblical knowledge is critical. We provide three-month blocks of Biblical education to the pastors. We devote a large part of JOO's time and resources to pastoral training, providing training to approximately seven pastors and 25 elders. As a result, pastors gain a deep understanding of the Bible to lead their congregation better and train other leaders in their churches.

God's call is not about comfort, but about obedience. Even when the road is difficult, the Lord's faithfulness always sustains those who respond in faith.

Henrri Orozco

At the age of 20, I gave my life to Christ, becoming a beacon of hope for those around me. My unwavering dedication led me to become a deacon, sharing the gospel with those most in need. The Lord called me to the pastorate, and for the past two years, I have been shepherding the ministry with a heart full of gratitude.

Despite the challenges I face, I remain determined to grow spiritually and continue to serve and expand the gospel to every community where it has yet to reach. I am grateful for Just One Opportunity's support and inspired to keep moving toward the Lord.

When I was 16 years old, I discovered the gospel and began my journey in ministry as a support leader. During my youth, I received training as a teacher and theologian, which equipped me to teach in community schools. I always had a passion for spreading the word of God.

Eventually, I received a calling to become a pastor and started bringing God's message to many different communities. Unfortunately, a challenge with my eyesight left me permanently disabled, and as a result, I decided to leave my teaching profession. But in 2012, I began a ministry in the community of Bacacan with just two people. Today, I'm grateful to God and the support of Just One Opportunity, as 64 people gather to receive God's message.

I accepted God into my heart and life from a young age. I served as a church leader for many years, teaching others the word. Throughout my leadership training, I attended classes in doctrine and spiritual formation. While at the ministry of Prophecies, I strengthened my leadership until I received the call to the pastorate in 2019. The ministry has grown from 12 to 59 worshipers in my five years there.

Along with my leaders, I have been bringing the gospel to many communities, visiting the sick, widows, and discouraged. Thanks to our evangelistic work, people's lives are being transformed by our sharing of the message.

Daniel Jarquin

I was born on January 3, 1954, in Esquipulas Matagalpa. Twenty years later, in January 1982, I opened the doors of my heart to Christ. Since then, my life has become a living testimony of faith and dedication. After receiving the doctrine and being baptized that same year, I immersed myself fully in God's service. I spent two years in leadership and became an inspiring mentor to young people. My commitment led me to a pastoral career from 1987 to 2012 at the Assembly of God Ministry.

Fueled by a renewed vision and an unyielding passion, I embarked on a new journey three years ago, starting a ministry from the ground up. Guided by the power of God's Word, I gathered over 20 people to train and equip them to bring the message of hope and transformation to those in need. My life is a vibrant testimony of how faith can move mountains.

My call to ministry began in August 1999, when I gave my life to the Lord at the Fuente de Vida Church of the Assemblies of God. I was baptized on October 3 of the same year, and began my service as a deacon, then a worker pastor for three and a half years. I was later transferred to the Principe de Paz Church, where I served as a pastor for six years while pursuing my pastoral credential and completing my studies in theology, earning my bachelor's degree in science and literature. On December 19, 2002, I married my loving partner, and together we are raising our three children, who support our ministry.

I later returned to Fuente de Vida Church, which faced numerous challenges. During this time, Just One Opportunity partnered with the church to provide key support for the church and my family. The constant support of JOO has been fundamental in helping me and my family remain steadfast in our community's devotion to the Lord. In the last two and a half years, I have been blessed to offer spiritual guidance to our congregation of sixty active members.
