We work closely with local pastors to understand the spiritual needs of the individuals we reach. We provide Christian-based training to pastors and elders of the twelve villages. When they return to their villages, they share what they learn with their churches and communities. Most of the pastors that we will work with do not have a high school education. Some of them do not know how to read and write. For this reason it is critical to train them to have a stronger Biblical knowledge. We provide three month blocks of Biblical education to the pastors. We devote a large part of JOO's time and resources to pastoral training, providing training to aproximately 5 pastors and 25 elders. This enables pastors gain a deep understand of the Bible to better lead their congregation and train other leaders in their churches.
